Boozey Bees Peanut BBQ Sauce

Boozey Bees Peanut BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 2 cups bourbon
  • 3 Tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup Two Busy Bees honey and peanuts - nut butter spread
  • 2 Tablespoons ketchup manis
  • 2 Tablespoons Two Busy Bees honey
  • 2 teaspoon hot sauce or sweet chilli sauce

YIELD - 2 cups

Steps to make:

In medium saucepan over low - medium heat, heat one tablespoon of oil and carefully fry garlic powder, onion powder and all the dry spices. Whisk in the bourbon and tomato paste. Bring to a gentle slow boil and cook until reduced by half and thickened. Whisk in the peanut butter honey, ketchup manis, honey and hot sauce. Return to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes. If a thinner sauce is desired, whisk in 1/3 cup water.
